What We Do
Each month volunteers from Hometown Strasburg are delivering Welcome Bags to new residents who have bought homes in Strasburg and Davis District. In addition to the Hometown Strasburg tote bag, they are receiving a Hometown coffee mug, Strasburg town map, helpful information about Strasburg, brochures featuring nearby sites, like the Museums and Civil War Battlefields, as well as the Historic District Tours. The Chamber of Commerce contributes a Chamber Directory, and many of the businesses contribute great items/coupons for the Welcome Bags. It is a real community effort to welcome our new residents and try to make them feel “at home” right away.
Hometown Strasburg volunteers, with the help of FFA students from Signal Knob Middle School, spread mulch in the Capon Street garden areas, to protect the flowering plants and shrubs.
